In one sentence: Meu Potinho helps you organize your pantry, but expiration dates are a help, not a guarantee. Always check the package.
1. What Meu Potinho is
Meu Potinho is an iPhone and Apple Watch app that organizes your home pantry: the stock in each place, the expiration date of each batch and the shopping list. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
2. Who provides it
The app is provided by Roger Albino, an individual based in Brazil. Contact: [email protected].
3. Apple's agreement
Apple's standard license agreement (EULA) also applies to Meu Potinho. These terms supplement that agreement. If the two say different things, whichever is more favorable to you applies, within the law.
4. Free and Premium
Meu Potinho is free to start. The free version includes expiry alerts, a shopping list and a home with up to 2 people.
Premium unlocks:
- up to 6 people in the home;
- more than one home;
- history;
- product photos.
Premium comes in monthly and yearly plans, with a 1-week free trial. Prices are shown on the App Store, in your local currency.
- Billing and renewal: handled by Apple, through your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
- Cancellation: in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. If you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal, you won't be charged again.
- Refunds: requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- The subscriber pays for the home: the home's owner subscribes and everyone in the home gets Premium. Being invited costs nothing.
- When Premium ends: your data stays, and existing photos keep showing. Premium features lock: history, more than one home, more than 2 people and adding photos. No data is deleted.
5. Shared home
A home can have up to 2 people on the free version and up to 6 on Premium. Everyone in the home can see and change the stock and the lists. The owner can stop sharing, and anyone invited can leave at any time. Each person is responsible for what they add to the home.
6. Expiration dates are a help, not a guarantee
Dates and alerts depend on what you enter and on your iPhone delivering the notification. The app does not replace checking the package, the smell and the look of the food, or the manufacturer's instructions. How long a product "lasts once opened" and the suggestions by category are estimates.
7. Suggestions when adding a product
When you scan a barcode, the name, brand and category come from open databases (Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts, Open Pet Food Facts and Open Products Facts), built by volunteers. They may be wrong or incomplete.
On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, the product's category and location may also be suggested by the on-device artificial intelligence. It's a guess: it can be wrong.
In every case, you check before saving.
8. Permitted use
Meu Potinho is for personal and household use. You may not use the app for anything illegal, try to get around syncing or sharing, or copy the app.
9. Your data
Your data is yours, stays in your iCloud and can be deleted whenever you want, in Home › your avatar › Delete all data. The details are in the Privacy policy.
10. Availability
The app works without internet. Syncing depends on Apple's iCloud, and suggestions depend on the external databases. These services may go offline without notice.
11. Intellectual property
The Meu Potinho name, Potinho, the icon and the app's design belong to its provider. The fonts (SIL OFL license) and the barcode database data (ODbL license) follow their own licenses.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is". Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under Brazil's Consumer Protection Code or under the consumer protection law of the country where you live.
13. Changes to these terms
The date at the top shows the current version. Important changes are announced before they take effect.
14. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by Brazilian law, without removing the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live. Any dispute may be settled in the courts of your place of residence.
